About Morels & Memories

The Morels & Memories Mushroom Hunt & Alzheimer’s Fundraiser was started in honor of our mother Heidi Vanderlinde who was diagnosed with Younger Onset Alzheimer’s Disease in 2011, at the age of 49. She sadly lost her battle to the disease August 2019. As a lover of the outdoors, plants, and sunshine, we remember her with the event.  The fundraiser is now on it’s 8th year, raising over $93,000 and counting towards finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.

Today, there is no cure for Alzheimer's disease.  Until there is, we will hunt morel mushrooms to fund research for a cure!
